Thursday night. I leave in the morning for Hartford!
I worked out, sort of, with Corey today. Nothing tough. Just went through a pre-race warm-up routine, a lot of stretching, and Corey worked on my legs. Bless him, he is talented in that regard.
He told me several times this week that "This is the nicest I will EVER be to you." Ha! It certainly is the nicest he has ever BEEN to me! I have enjoyed it, too. Just a little pampering. I do realize that I would not get anywhere if we did this every week, but it's been nice this week.
I have eaten. I have had plenty of water today. I have stretched. My bags are packed, the GPS is programmed, my boarding pass is printed ... the horse-sitter has been called, the dog dropped at the kennel. Terri and I have exchanged clueless e-mails. We have dinner reservations for tomorrow night, and I have even emailed the chef my dietary requests -- grilled chicken, penne pasta, light marinara sauce, steamed veggies. No milk. No cream. No butter. Thank you.
I cannot WAIT to see Terri, Connecticut, the leaves, the mountains where she lives, Frankie and Gracie and Chris! I just can't WAIT. And ... I cannot wait for this to be over! I am soooo excited to be doing this. So glad we raised the $$ for Sunkissed Acres!
So READY.
Go, girl!
I'll keep you in my prayers!
Have a great time - you've earned it!

Wow, Jennifer! We hope it is a great experience for you, and we're counting on your survival so we can hear lots of great stories. Enjoy the scenery, the people, the run, the time taken for yourself, and remember that we love you.
